This listing is for the photographed Vintage Red Cross Intermediate Swimmer Pinback Button. Issued by the red cross, identified by the red cross at the center of the front of this pin. The red cross issued these pins with their swimming instruction courses throughout the first half of the 19th century. They issued these pins at different levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced, along with a certificate of their level. Very interesting piece of history!
