El centavo Indian Head, también conocido como Indian Head penny, fue una moneda de un centavo ($0.01) producida por la Oficina de la Casa de la Moneda de los Estados Unidos de 1859 a 1909. Fue diseñado por James Barton Longacre, el Grabador Jefe de la Casa de la Moneda de Filadelfia.
El centenario del nacimiento del presidente asesinado Abraham Lincoln ocurriría en febrero de 1909, y ya se estaban emitiendo grandes cantidades de recuerdos fabricados de forma privada. Muchos ciudadanos habían escrito al Departamento del Tesoro, proponiendo una moneda de Lincoln.
