The Lincoln cent ha sido acuñado por la Casa de la Moneda de los Estados Unidos desde 1909. El anverso o cara fue diseñado por Victor David Brenner, al igual que el reverso original, que representaba dos tallos de trigo (de ahí "pennies de trigo", acuñados entre 1909 y 1958).
