Este listado es para el billete de 20 cruzeiros "Valor Recibido" de Brasil de 1955 fotografiado. Emitido por el Tesoro Nacional de Brasil, con "Valor Recibido" impreso debajo de la denominación, lo que lo diferencia de las emisiones de "Valor Legal". Este billete tiene "Estampa 2a" impreso encima del número de serie, que es 1262. Retrato central del Mariscal Deodoro da Fonseca. Impresión inversa de una figura alegórica que representa la República de Brasil. Hermoso billete, excelente estado. ¡Gran adición a cualquier colección! P#160d (Número Pick 160d).
El primer cruzeiro se emitió de 1942 a 1967, reemplazando al real a una tasa de 1000 réis = 1 cruzeiro y fue reemplazado en 1967 por el cruzeiro novo a una tasa de 1000 cruzeiros = 1 cruzeiro novo. En la práctica, el nombre cruzeiro se había utilizado para la unidad de 1000 réis desde al menos 1926, cuando el economista brasileño Carlos Inglês de Sousa (1882-1948) se lo sugirió por primera vez al gobierno.
Debido a la crisis económica y a la grave inflación, se emitió un segundo cruzeiro en 1967 y circuló hasta 1986. Inicialmente (hasta 1970) tenía el símbolo NCr$ y se llamaba cruzeiro novo (portugués para "nuevo cruzeiro"). Luego, el nombre volvió a ser cruzeiro y el símbolo cambió a Cr$ (1970–1986) con el código ISO 4217 BRB. Aunque se restauró el nombre, el signo ₢ se eliminó debido a la falta de soporte práctico (pocas máquinas de escribir lo ofrecían, pero también era difícil de encontrar en tipos metálicos).
