Este listado es para el billete de 1 libra del Banco de Jamaica de 1964 fotografiado. Este billete fue emitido bajo la Ley del Banco de Jamaica de 1960. Este billete es una emisión más rara, fue firmado por el Gobernador Hall (Firma #2) con el título "Gobernador en funciones" impreso debajo. El anverso de este billete tiene un retrato de la Reina Isabel II en el extremo izquierdo y el escudo de armas del país, impreso con un lema en inglés en lugar de latín, en el centro inferior. El reverso muestra una escena de cosecha en una granja. Grado/condición Casi Sin Circular (AU), con pocos o ningún signo de circulación y escritura en el anverso, ¡billete nítido! ¡Este raro billete ofrece una historia fascinante del colonialismo británico y la historia de Jamaica, lo que lo convierte en un artículo imprescindible para cualquier colección! La Gran Depresión de la década de 1930 golpeó la colonia británica de Jamaica con particular dureza en comparación con otras islas del Caribe. Experimentaron numerosas huelgas laborales y disturbios durante este tiempo, lo que resultó en su gran dependencia del apoyo del Gobierno británico. En 1958, Jamaica comenzó a obtener autonomía del Imperio Británico, formando parte de la Federación de las Indias Occidentales Británicas. Su participación en la FWI fue un tema divisorio, lo que llevó a Jamaica a abandonar la federación y a convertirse en una nación independiente en 1962, pasando a formar parte de la Commonwealth Británica.
