John Sargent Pillsbury (29 de julio de 1827 - 18 de octubre de 1901) fue un político, empresario y filántropo estadounidense. Republicano, se desempeñó como el octavo Gobernador de Minnesota de 1876 a 1882. Fue cofundador de la Compañía Pillsbury.
Primeros años
Pillsbury nació en Sutton, Nuevo Hampshire, de ascendencia inglesa, hijo de John y Susan (Wadleigh) Pillsbury. Era descendiente de William Pillsbury, quien emigró de Inglaterra a Newburyport, Massachusetts, en 1640. En 1851, abrió una tienda en Warner, Nuevo Hampshire, asociándose con Walter Harriman, futuro gobernador de Nuevo Hampshire y general de la Guerra Civil.

The coins were packed flat (letter style), encased in plastic covering and not touching each other to prevent damage during postage - despite being on the other side of the world, they arrived safely - and quickly!
