This listing is for the photographed San Michele Capri Bell. Beautiful silverplated over brass bell reading "San Michele" on one side and "Capri" on the other with a wonderful sounding bell inside. The Capri bell is a legendary Italian good luck charm. The legend goes that a shepherd boy found his lost sheep after hearing a magical bell given to him by Saint Michael. During WWII, American pilots bought them on Capri, attaching them to their flight jackets to ensure safe returns. Amazing religious/military bell that produces a beautiful sound!
